Weekend with old friends!

This past weekend, I got together with some of my old friends who I grew up with in my ward and neighborhood. I have known all of these girls for 19 years! (wow, that makes me sound old!) We made it a baby shower for Katie, who is expecting in May with her first child. It was good to see that we all still like to have fun and can hang out. I had a great time catching up and thanks to Cara for planning it all. We all need to see each other more! We had so much fun!

My weekend with 7 kids

I was surprised to realize that the boys were much easier than the girls. They just hung out and played video games or played action figures together. This is Jeremy, Orion, and Logan.
This is Britton playing in the playroom and checking out all of the toys.
The girls wanted to watch High School Musical 3 in my bedroom.
This is Mallory and Halley.
This is Lyndie and Maddie. They actually played together a little on the last day, finally.
The girls got up on each song in the movie and danced.
This is during "The boys are back"
This is exactly how the actors end the song on the movie, so they decided they should get the right pose too. (this whole dance was hilarious to watch)
This is one of the breakfasts we had. Pancakes for some and cereal for others.
More pictures of breakfast. Clockwise: Logan, Britton, Maddie, Lyndie, Mallory, Orion, and Halley.

I hope the kids will remember this and have memories for years to come. I know they had fun, but the younger ones definitely missed mom and dad and were glad to see them return.

p.s. can't wait 'til the favor is returned.:)

Safe Kids Fair

One of the booths there had a bunch of creepy crawly animals. This was their giant yellow snake. Mallory loved it so much that she was talking to it like it was a baby. In this picture she is patting it's back.
Another booth was free face painting. Apparently it's worth waiting in line for an hour if you are 6! She loved it and we went to a couple of stores after this and she loved peoples reaction to her cute "cheetah" face.
This is Mallory's tough biker look on a motorcycle.
This is Logan getting to sit on a motorcycle too. They had a great time there. There was so much to see and do. I will definitely go back next year too. They got to make little backpacks and pot some flowers to take home, play baseball and soccer, etc.

The First Sign of Spring!

I noticed a few of these Daffodils popping up after bringing Logan home from preschool today. I love when the flowers start to come up, because that means warm weather is on the way. YEAH!

Dress-up with the kids

I am still trying to convince my kids that they can keep their regular clothes on while they play dress-up. This was a day that I was unsuccessful with that.:) At least they are all playing together and having fun, right? Are my kids the only ones who do this?

Proof that my kids love each other!

According to Mallory, they were playing King(Logan) and Queen(Lyndie) and Mallory was their servant giving them food and whatever else they needed.
This is a close-up of the trio. Logan and Lyndie are on their "throne". It is actually a broken toy box that usually holds stuffed animals.

More After pics! (I'm vain, I know)

Jeremy wanted to take these picture of me after my haircut. He misses my long hair, but is warming up to the idea of me with short hair. I feel totally vain posting this, but oh well...

The big haircut!

I finally got my haircut today! Yay! I love it so far! I hope I will be able to do it myself!
